Thank you!! When you visited Ithaca a few months ago, I remember speaking with colleagues regarding your performance. One of the first things that came to mind after your Carmen Fantasy was, "I REALLY hope that she records Zigeunerweisen!" Congrats on another stellar live show! Now let's have some more METAL!

Rachel must be a gypsy herself, and makes everyone who listens wish they were! When the listener feels the passion of the performer, and the composer, it's a performance well played. Bravo.

Absolutely right. The orchestra (even without the soloist is quite off). The conductor is to blame, mostly. This situation makes it very tough on the soloist. Nevertheless, bravissimo Rachel.

Simply one of the greatest technical and artistic players on today's stage. Skilled musicians and enthusiasts should know that her intonation is almost always flawless. Combine that with great artistry--she needs to play with the best orchestras in the world.

I come back again and again to hear how lovely..and I think certainly the soloist always has the option to dress with flair and expect them too..and it is a relief to not worry that the dress might drop below the "equater" during the performance. It is both appropriate and in good taste. The soloist always wears something special or at least this has been my experience in some 40 years of attending and playing in symphonies. That is part of the honor and they should get to shine.
