not totally true..for cold reading you can study but not anyone can master it...is an art that require traning and sleight of mouth, i think no everybody can master cold reading..

Simple cold reading. He's watching their reactions carefully and you can see that if his intial idea doesn't quite get accepted by the listener immediately then he adjusts or narrows down the idea until he sees a positive reaction.
I do this with women all the time (not as a medium but to read their personality and create a bond). Works wonders, and if you are an intuitive person who can pick up on subtle body language then you can get really good at it (like I think I have).

That's fine, but I am questioning the assertions inherent to that advice, and their consequent imposition of belief. When given advice from anyone, I like it to be absed on something at least half way considered and verifiable; not mere assertion or "belief". The onus is not on me to define what "kind" of evidence might be provided, but rather upon the one offering the "advice" in the first place.

IN general i would say that the psychic in question is reading body language which is processed unconsciously and they simply don't know where the information is coming from but it does get into their conscious mind. Your Mum might have been worried about you in the reading etc. So don't believe it unless the psychic levitates!
