You don't know? Avril's Under My Skin are co-written by Chantal with Avril. Don't you find Chantal's and Avril's voices quite similar, or the lyrics they sing? Anyway, Avril herself is genuine enough that she co-writes every song in her album.

.... they didn't. A bunch of Hollywood execs and record label CEOs did. I mean, it was quite unoriginal, and the theme of "Girlfriend" has been repeated a million times. It's simplistic and Avril sounded like she's that annoying girl begging to be yours... which captured a whole demographic of teenage girls... while she loses her credibility that she gained from writing and recording "Complicated" and other earlier tracks.

maybe u shud read MORE. "Girlfriend" according to Avril herself is a RANDOM and FUN song and she said in interviews that the meaning shudnt be taken SERIOUSLY. GOsh duh~ she's SO married to Deryck. she sets boundaries for herself too ya knw. im not so keen about her new image but at least she hasnt turn into britney spears. ( which she wont. )
