Nightwish's biggest mistake was firing Tarja. Without her, their no different to any power metal band. And their's clutters of them now.

Thanks. Wow, I'm glad you alerted me to this. Maybe I should've explained why. Tarja has the voice of someone who is classically trained. Operatic, powerful and dead-on. I personally haven't heard another singer who sings in an operatic style in their band and this particular blend of classical and metal makes them sound very original. Annete, although good, has a very standard voice. She doesn't stand out. By firing Tarja, Nightwish lost 99% of their originality. Am I clear now?

yeah man I completely agree, Annette may have a very nice voice, but shes just like any other talented pop singer out there. And I especially agree with your comment about Tarja, she had that special something and her unique style. I listened to the new album, really not impressed, "Bye Bye Beautiful" and "Amaranth" were alright but the rest...where has my Nightwish gone??

I can't get over how amazing the composition is. The key changes in this piece are incredible.
