how about jacques villeneuve? he came to nascar from f1 and was out of a ride after only a few races. at least the american open wheel drivers made it halfway through the season (franchitti) or are still driving (carpentier and hornish jr).
and, by the way, jeff gordon jumped in montoya's f1 car a few years ago at the indy road course and was only a second from making the field (oh wait, everyone makes the race in f1). at least nascar has enough cars to fill up the track.

yeah, but the track is so short the laps take like 24 seconds...
in F1 atleast the tracks are varied from each other, so they each post their own difficulties, challanges and setups for the driver

if you think that each and every track on the nascar circuit doesn't pose its own challenges, you've clearly never watched a nascar race in your life.
i've watched f1 races before. they are basically all about strategy and are not about passing at all. if you get a good start, you run up front for the entire race. if you don't, you're screwed. f1 bores the hell out of me. i'll take 43 cars running close together over 22 cars that are all three s
econds apart anyday.

they may be going in a circle, but at least if you go watch a race, you can see the whole track at once. if you think oval racing is boring... try watching the richmond race that's on right now.
and what about drag racing? they run for four seconds in a straight line and even that is more exciting than f1.

have you noticed how pretty much all f1 drivers that moved from f1 to nascar cant make it through a season? when jeff gordon jumped in montoyas car years ago he was just as fast as other f1 drivers. nascar is by far way better. oval track racing is were racing started

My mother passed away Sept 12th 2007
She did not race Nascars, but she was a race car driver.
Stock cars as a matter of fact.
Her and my dad both raced from 1974 till 1983
And yes there is more to racing than just going around in circles.
She met and made many friends.
And many of those friends attended her funeral
And no offence to you
But I pray to God my Mother is Racing In Heaven.Bucause it was something she dearly loved to do in life
