This track was originally intended as a one-off for the soundtrack to a film called Lost Angels (?). It was added to the album at the behest of an Englishman who was working for The Cures US label at the time and thought it was perfect for America. The gritty 7-inch remix with the guitars and bas
s pushed up to the max was mixed especially for the American release.
The telephone box and the feel of the vid. was also designed to appeal to anglophile yanks. It's a brilliant Cure song but it felt like the end at the time. The whole album felt like the last act and i really thought it was. I think 'Wish' should have been.
