oh okay. Great PT! But I think you made an excellent video without the PT's commentary. Just surf, just music! Congratulations. I remember of another great heat: semifinal, curren and slater at the quicksilver lacanau pro, in france. 1990. Do you have it? Great performance of both.

LOL I gues you are old(r) if you know the name of the band in this video LOL!!!! The HooDoo Gurus (spelling?). Great times back then in HB The Aussies, Hawaiians, and California surfers where goin off every time the OP or Katin was happening - I was one stoked kid. I saw Tom Curren in Newport, was out when Mark Richards was at Thalia St., once surfed out with Potter in Dana Strand on a sick day. Seems like I have a different perspective now but still stoked THANKS for posting it 28-media !!!!!

28 Media, Is this footage from the ABC coverage of the event (the really boring voice over indicates it might be)? If so there was a great montage at the end credits with Kong doing an absolutely incredible forhand snap/rip/reentry. There was also the one Curren reentry in the final which to this day is still the prettiest move I've ever seen. If you have this stuff could you please post it? I had the video for years but it died. I'd kill to see it again. Cheers mate.

My mistake anyway, the Kong move I mentioned was from the closing credits of the year Nicky Wood beat Dog Marsh in the final(another ABC special).
Cheers though, This stuff really takes me back to a happy place.

Dude, the guy below me asked what song it is and I gave him a response. I didn't post this first of all but I would. Notice the name at top right says 28Media. None of the surfers in surf movies get paid for this so It would only be hurting big corporate Billabong. It only sucks if you get caught.

Just had to add...check out minute 2 onward...insane. 2 gladiators going for it and captured on the same screen shots...absolutely brilliant. Can't go wrong cheering for either athlete.
