Well, i dont completely dislike U2 - they were good when they started - but now they are just total crowd pleasers. Brown nosing America(s) all the time. They are just soooo corporate - like Bon Jovi/Bryan Adams and their ilk. You dont need to play in front of 89k every nite (the Manics have by the way!); being popular is not the same as being good is it? I mean Nirvana never got a number 1 single in the UK, but Will Young has, etc. U" are big cos they just kiss ass all the time. Manics rule!

U2 are still probably the biggest band in the world right now because sucking corporate cock, being businessmen, and selling your ass to every corporation had seemingly become perfectably acceptable options for musicians these days (see Coldpay and seemingly EVERYONE else!!). The only way U2 can save themselves is to release another uncommercial,good album like "ZOOROPA". have they got it in them? Maybe. But they're "business" sense wont allow it.
