I am always amazed that no matter how often and how much the media has forced the name of God out of possibly every aspect of society, this cartoon plays faithfully every year; unedited, uncut. The message is important and the day it is pulled from viewing during the month of December shall be a sad day for me.

I'm an atheist and I actually root for that. I'm sick of all these morons who insist on "happy holidays". It's CHRISTMAS. His name is in the damn holiday! I really don't understand atheists getting uppity over religions when all they have to do is ignore it (especially in things like this or the pledge of allegiance). There are several things Christmas needs for it to be meaningful. A Christmas mass, family togetherness, and A Charlie Brown Christmas. This, save for the mass, is definitely the most important thing about Christmas. Good piano pieces, a classic cartoon as drawn by a classic cartoonist, and Linus' speech. And just to carry on the tradition, the media actually allows this to broadcast on networks everywhere. The media, of all people! Goes to show there's still decency left on this planet.
