| for fuck's sake, can people stop comparing him to duane allman? yes, they both play slide, and derek took over duane's spot in the ABB. that's pretty much where the similarity ends. it's like saying SRV is just like robert johnson because they both play blues guitar. if you really want to split hairs, if the two of them could cut heads, duane would get smoked in terms of technique and clarity of expression. if you want to say you personally like duane better, fine, but they're nothing alike. |
