That first clip was right about when Ali fought George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle. James brought his group to Zaire, Africa to play. I love the old vintage films of Ali during his hay day. "When They Were Kings" is an excellent documentary. You have Norman Mailer doing narratives....

Let the truth be known. First of all James Brown was one of the VERY FEW artists that wrote(0r co-wrote), produced and arranged most of his own music. If he had been simply a singer or vocalist and had never written or produced a song he still would have been one of the best ever!. How many songs did Elvis write or produce...few if any! James Brown was able to actually show some of his band members how he wanted something to sound by actually playin it himself. Elvs was NVR IN THE SME League!
