this song shows that alot of white musicians learned from colored people...including hank williams...johnny cash....this is an homage to black musicians....that had a great impact on country music and all music in general...the black guy in the song is a mentor to the young white kid...how is that racist?...hank williams was inspired by black musicians....johnny cashs favorite group was a black gospel band...quit looking for racist crap where it doesnt exist

This is one of my favorite songs. By the way, they didn't write it so that people could argue whether or not it is racist, which it isn't in any way, they wrote it to respect the blues, a great type of music, so just listen to the song and don't say it is racist or it isn't racist, just listen to it and be happy they wrote it.
