Good grief, Choeka, what fricken planet have you been living on? This is 2008 and anybody and everybody who follows combat sports knows by now that if you're strictly a standup fighter with no ground game whatsoever that you're going to end up looking like a pretzel if you step into the cage with an MMA-fighter. Wake up!

You don't get it, look Gina Carano now. She is pretty good on the ground and good on her feets. She adapted to mma fast and she is nowhere near the atlete Lucia Rijkers is. Chuck Lidell also a standup fighter, then learned mma.
Lucia is an highly talented atlete, not just a highly talented kickboxer/boxer. She is like the tennisplayer Nadal, he played for soccerclub real madrid. He had to choose between professional soccer and tennis and chose the last one.

And don't think i am not a mma fan! I am, i know exactly what you mean. With mma you have to be allrounded! And lucia isn't, but c'mon she has is an undefeated kickboxer/boxer and has all the physical tools to learn mma. She is like the female BJ Penn and GSP, natural fighters! They adapt to other fighting styles quite easy.

Choeka, your contention, that Gina Carano's athletic abilities are nowhere near that of Lucia Rijker's, is nothing more than wishful thinking. The facts speak for themselves; Carano made a successful transition from kickboxing to MMA, whereas, Lucia Rijker did not. Also, please note that Lucia Rijker was, in fact, defeated in kickboxing when she made an unsuccessful attempt to defeat a male opponent.
