If you looked elsewhere for rock or indie, then you would never hear the bands I mentioned before (MGMT, Black Kids, The Killers, The Strokes, Interpol) and The Bravery, Secret Machines, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Nightmare of You just to name a few. To say that the U.S doesn't have any good indie/alternative bands is just an ignorant statement. And to not listen to these bands just because they are from the U.S is ridiculous, because they're at the top of the list when it comes to indie/alternative.
