its a shame he has to tone down for american audiences. usually he wouldnt have to paper over the drug thing- hed just launch into lucid heroin tales, which are always quite amusing :) i guess that would turn some americans off him though, especially since he's making a disney flick- they burned mickey mouse when ellen came out as a lesbian, so i doubt they'd be too impressed by an ex junkie entertaining their kids ;)

Achieved more??? In what respect??? What type of sweeping generalisation is that?? I sleep well at night and could not be happier.
I love Letterman and was watching clips of him and tried to sit through this crap, it amazed me how easily people follow any trend just so they fit in.
If you think its funny that someone says wee wee, and booky wook then I have at least achieved one thing over you: I have a decent sense of humour.

There are also some comedians i don't like, I just don't waste my life watching videos of them on youtube and writing hateful comments to obtain an argument from fans. Also russels comedy isnt just saying "wee wee and booky wook" maybe watch some of his standup. And by saying "I take it you've achieved more than russel then" I meant the fact that he's gone from drug adict, to tv presenter, to comedian, to hollywood star - why bash people that have obviously achieved more than you?

You don't even know me. I have achieved plenty but don't expect thanks nor wonderment over it....and I have done it all without ever being a drug addict. And like I said I was watching Letterman not this prick, but lucky for me living in a democracy I can say what I want, when I want, about whoever the fuck I want and will never stop.
