I just read that Turkey's forthcoming president has married to a 14-15 years old girl, while he was 30. Could anyone tell me if this is considered as a case of pedophilia? Or is this just a case of "moderate" pedophilia, whatever that means? Well the country is often labeled as a "moderate Islamic" whatever that means, either. Any answers?

In Texas you can marry at 14, with parents' and judge's consent, do you consider Texas a state that supports pedophilia? the laws in Turkey has recently (2004 i remember) been changed, so that the age of consent is 17. there is no such thing as "moderate islamic", i just hope the new president will favor the secular identity of the republic. in fact, i would be more worried if i were in US, with all the new draconian powers the president holds.
