Note the Drill Tanks used the original, slow version of this song. This is a rock remix of Sonic 2's boss theme. And a lot of bosses in Sonic 3 had some interesting gimmicks about them, some where particularly tough back in those days(I know I had difficulty with Hydrocity's boss).

It just so happens that chiptune had to be way different from the Sonic 3 minor boss theme. Because Michael Jackson really had the funk to make a chiptune that was reminiscent of both old skool funk and rap of that day. But then they just had to fuck up the minor boss theme with one that was more reminiscent of this one in Sonic and Knuckles.

Is the US yeah, he was Eggman from teh the very beginning everywhere else, Sega liek all Japanese developers knew that US needed a rougher name because were all brutes over here in the states. Probably right, that mental image that Japanese get of a bunch of tall white men drinking beer and screaming at a football game is unfortunately accurate.

Knuckles is the best Sonic game. Plus overall it has the best music out of all the Sonic Games. Sega should make Sonic Trilogy (S1+S2+S3
K). 2D but with 3D backgounds, voice acting, multiple endings, 3D effects, same musics, and same tings.

I hear ya!!! You should also be concerned about music genre discrepancies too!!! Because some Sonic chiptunes MJ produced are simply chiptune derivatives of funk and rap (rap was an extension to funk in the first place). Toejam and Earl is also a good repository for funk-based chiptunes.
