BMW and Mercedes-Benz are separated by about 150 miles and a rivalry as fierce as the one between Coke and Pepsi. BMW builds the 2007 335i Sedan in the Bavarian city of Munich, while Mercedes-Benz has just released the all-new 2008 C350 Sport from its headquarters in the Swabian city of Stuttgart
. Though Mercedes has long had the upper hand in terms of both stature and commercial success in Europe, the BMW 3 Series outsells the Mercedes-Benz C-Class by more than a 2-to-1 margin in the U.S., some 120,180 to 50,187 last year.

| yeah looks it's better the coupe, but i also like some practicality if i can get it, so 4-door does that , besides the 4-door m3 looks almost the same front part of the coupe only the tail lights i don't like them. unlike the 3 series , coupe is sweet in looks but the 4 door is not so preety. |

| The Benz is more classy looking, the Bimmer is more sporty looking... They're both great cars... It just depends on your own personal taste. All of you morons arguing over which Car Co. is better needs to get a life. Mercedes-Benz has things BMW doesn't and BMW has things Mercedes-Benz doesn't. Although Mercedes-Benz has vehicles that could destroy any BMW as you go higher in classes. The standard 550 models on Mercedes produces 382 HP while BMW's 50i models only produce 360. |

| oh yea, engine smoothness, reliability, operating range dont make a difference, a 335i with beat a V8 audi s5, and the audi has a lot more power...you're so close minded, just buy a mustang and go in a straight line. |

| I actually have driven a BMW. Very nice ride, very agile and sporty. Mercedes-Benz have vehicles like that too. Your comparing apples and oranges. Both fruit, different taste. |

| They failed to mention the price difference. The C350 is about $5k cheaper with comparable options. BMW's maintenance also isn't worth much. The only reason they offer it is because their cars require so little maintenance and have very long maint. intervals. Does that make it more reliable? I dunno. I've driven the 335xi and c300. The C300 has VERY noisy tires, but otherwise is flawless. The tranny is amazing. But the driving experience is superior. But is that worth the $ and gas mileage? |
