There are 2 things which could stop this guard pass, to my knowledge. 1st) at 5:21, the opponent on the ground could use a scissor sweep, using he's left foot as a hook (pulling left), then by using he's left arm to pull the opponent (closer to him and to left). Then followed by, right shin to the opponent hips (pushing right), and finishing by grabbing the opponents left shoulder with he's right arm (which chokes/pushes the opponent to the right). When done correctly..

The person on the ground, should have rolled and mounted (passed the guard) of the opponent on the top. 2) thing that could stop this guard pass, is a triangle choke at 5:35. The opponent on top would most likely stand up to slam you (if ur doing this in a MMA comp). However u could use ur left arm as a hook, and sweep the opponent who's standing up right ankle. Then try for a ankle lock.

No I understand completely what its saying it said both arms in or both arms out to prevent the triangle if you put one in and one out your chances are higher for the triangle to be executed. If you dont have control of at least one arm the triangle could be difficult for some. If the bottom guy is packing heat he could just shoot the top guy in the face that could prevent the guard pass as well.
