The actress in the video is called 'Angela Alvarado Rosa'. You may have seen her in a mini-series - '03/'04 - called 'Kingpin' where she played a DEA agent.

One of the greatest groups to come out of the 80's! Man TFF were sooo amazing.. the writing, the voices, the angst and when put together with my girl Oleta Adams, just divine! I know that she was their backup singer for years so it was awesome to have her in the front with them.. what an incredible song, very haunting with Roland matched with Oleta's. voice.. just divine!!

What makes this ... ( 1 week ago by nursekare)
What makes this song so penetrating is it's a song about mankind exploting women's sexuality for profit/pleasure written and performed by 3 amazingly talented men and a woman with a voice that melts the soul.
TFF ruled the 80's with their message oriented flavor. History will be kind to them.
I agree ticity the lyric;
"Its under my skin but out of my hands
I'll tear it apart but I wont understand
I will not accept the greatness of man"
is one of the most profound lyrics ever written.

She was actually "discovered" by them. She was singing in a Piano Bar and the guys loved her voice so much that they asked her to sing with them, she had her own success for a brief time with "Get Here". What happened to her.

Didn't know that. I was told it was a song about how a man needs to let go of his feminine side- he keeps his softside in chains, but I guess yours makes more sense...

Ya know... it just occurred to me (espeically based on other commentators on this vid), that the protagonist in this video (the boxer) possibly feels exploited himself, based on his chosen profession. Thus the overplay/intermixing of the woman/partner portrayed as a dancer. He is feeling as less a man and more of an object in a bloodsport.
Just my $0.02.

But I think the song is more about the woman than himself, that's why it's called Woman in Chains, right? ;)
