Its an important point your making. Cicumsition is mutilation, its a violation of a humans right to his own body (there is no consent) and its also a violation of a human right of free religion. There are no medical reasonings for religious circumsition. A jewish boy who dies before circumsition will be cirumsised anyway before burial. It has nothing to do with health.

It does cause human damage, it removes one of the most sensitive parts of the boys body, almost thrice as sensitive as the glans. You are essentially hampering the sexual ability.
I think its a probable hypothesis that the circumsition was to prevent boys from masturbating, controlling his sexual ity just the same as female genital cutting was to control hers. And both can be equally argued for from a hygiene standpoint. That dosent make it right.

And just to clear things up a bit; even though im not a religious person myself, i have nothing against religion. My critizism in this case is all about tradition, not religion. In russia for instance jews do not get a circumsition. So, I dont dislike judaism, i just dislike this custom, wich by t he way are shared by many muslims and in US its a societal norm. 60% or so of the americans circumcise their boys.

omg! i love you and i totally agree with what you're saying. i've never understood why people do this. coming from a girl, when it comes to pleasure, there is no difference and don't bother telling me about the health reasons cuz it's been proven that there is no difference between cut and uncut for health (unless you don't clean yourself which is disgusting!!) and no, the baby won't remember it (thank god!) but we will as the parents. it's a horrible practice..
