| This is very good, although never one of my favorites of Carreras, this is a perfect example of how much BETTER his voice was before he fell ill with leukemia in 1987. Some critics say that his own singing damaged his voice, but I say it was his illness. Just listen to this version bfore cancer and then the 1994 version - there's a huge difference. His voice here is still very beautiful, solid and strong, without the wobble it acquired after the leukemia- no fault of his!! |
