Video Description:
The fire started in the garage and my uncle heard a Loud Boom..so he went down to the breezeway and he looked outside the window and there were flames...Nancy(Aunt)heard the noice to and thought it was Dean pushing the recliner in. She was going to yell @ him because Erica 8 and Ethan 6 here asleep.Dean and Nancy woke up the kids and the went out the backyard deck and dean took the phone and call 911 @ 1:30they got the call right away and the called for aid from Bird Island,Morton, and Fairfax fire departments..Nancy & the kids were standing on the drive way with no socks or shoes on.And dean went to the door of the lower level of the house and shattered the window, on the south side, below the deck. He went inside and began to call for their dog, Shih Tzu Yorkie, named Rosie.Rosie often stayed in the lower level of the homeand came to Dean immediatly.Dean the called for their 11 yr.old Golden Retriever named Hutner. Always an obeying dog, Hunter stayed only in the Breezeway, which was now already filled with smoke and beginning to burn. Several attempts, with call after call ofhis name, brought to no result. Hunter was later found, lying on the floor of the closet in the breezeway. It's speculated that he was overtaken by smoke, before the family was even aware of the fire. Deans estimate that the temperatures in the garage during the fire reached 2,000 degrees.Early estimates predict the Bock family loss to be approximately $250,000 for their home;with no estimation yet given for personal property. The farm is located 7 miles northeast of franklin and 13 miles northwest of Fairfax. For now the are renting a home in town of Franklin. And to them it feels a bit like home.
