This does hurt like hell. I sprained my ankle last yr and ended up up in PT and the Physical Therapist would tell me to grin and bear the pain that was coming. It hurt but it did work.

i don't think that massage is good for a sprained ankle...depending on how you sprained it twisting it a certain way could "resprain" it if your not careful...i tore my ankle and soft stretches and exercises are good so i doubt that furthur stretching an overstretched injured lig./ten,/muscle would be good for it

I was in PT for 1.5 months. They discharged me because there was nothing more they could do. I have 3 x-rays (counting the time when I first hurt it). They did a lot of streching, trying to make the area around my ankle stronger. I eneded up with tendonitis in my achillies tendon, and the tendon running up my calf area. Mine still cracks, and when I go to the gym I have a bit of pain.
