Google Santa Monica and YouTube hosted the exclusive "Meet the YouTube Filmmakers" event at the historic El Rey Theatre in Hollywood. Five popular YouTube filmmakers (Arin Crumley, Ben Shelton, M Dot Strange, Javier Prato, and Francis Stokes) participated in a panel discussion led by YouTube Film Community Manager Sara Pollack. YouTube engineers Cuong Do and Philo Juang and Product Manager Brian Glick also presented on what YouTube is working on in Southern California.

| There really is no similarity between Burton and Strange. Burton is a director who began as an animator. Starting at Disney in 1979 with The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron. Together with Rick Heinricks, Steven Chiodo and Victor Abadalov he produced the stop-motion animation, Vincent in 1982; beyond that, he directs other animators and actors in highly narrative films. Mdotstrange is an auteur who has broken new ground in several areas of minimalist narrative animation production. STFU. |
