my recruiter told me that most of the people they recruit are not actually fresh out of high school. He says most are between the aes of 20 and 25. I am 21 myself, and training to go to bootcamp, and age has not been an issue for me so far. As for school, if you join you will be able to recive major scholarships for service. I just got done with a similar experience with me going to college and it did not end well academically. Hopefully they will provide the structure we need to succeed.

They could ad the prefix to their gear, like: a KY-120, or a KY-B212. The Helos could be named after flying fairies, like: The Tinkerbell, The Peter Pan, The Titania. The USCG Operational Code Names could follow '80's disco culture, like: Operation Grace Jones, Operation Bad Girls, Operation Queen of the Knight. Right?

The coast guard doesnt take part in international affairs because its under the Dept. of HOMELAND Security...not the Dept. of Defense like the other branches of the armed forces. Do the words "COAST" and "GUARD" seem more clear now? You would know why if you did a little research.
