The car was assembled by Bill Patch from Welch, Oklahoma.He tried to give it to Johnny, but kept being rebuffed.So he took the car and sat out front of Cash's office till he came out.He explained that he didn't want anything, just to give him the car. They became friends and Johnny later gave two shows in Welch for the local Lion's Club. Later Bill got divorced and married a lady named Janine.After Bill died, Janine got involved with a singer named Dunn. And the rest, as they say, is history.
