In accordance with The United States Constitution, the V. P. takes charge for any/all periods during which the Pres. is incapacitated. Following this assassination attempt, Pres. Reagan, the strong and healthy man that he was, was out of The Oval Office for less than three months, not "for over 20 years". So, fuck YOU.

From what I understood, he was considered insane (obviously) and dangerous (equally obviously), so he's never been jailed: he's "under treatment" until proven non-dangerous (no idea how that can be proven).

You'd think with this incident as well as Andrea Yates and The Virginia Tech shootings, Washington would pay more attention to the mentally ill.

There are usually more than one man carrying brief case, to avoid zeroing. Also, the man carrying the true 'football' was most likely shoved inside the car with Regan. The last is probably the most important, a lot of times 'football' carriers are military aides to the president (in uniform and plain clothes) which means they are unarmed.

The man carrying the Uzis after the attack, actually had it in his brief case while walking next to Reagan when existing the building. Saw this on the History Channel Special.

this incident was a low security, afternoon conference in 1981. according the reagan, limo driver (patric mason), and jerry parr's debriefing the only other person in the rear seat of the first limo was jerry parr, the agent that pushed ron in as we can clearly see . this was back in the day of floppy disk's and DOS. unfortunately we have progressed with our technology enough that the football is not a briefcase or a thumb drive but a virtual command from any internet compatible device.

Cool to know, I knew that Clinton still had a breif case based on the (auto)biography of LTC. Buzz Patterson who was one of the football carriers. That was mid to late 90s though...

The music is "The Trio" by Ennio Marricone from the sound track of The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. I love the nylon string guitar. It seemed to fit with the images. Very tense. Your left waiting for resolution that never really comes

Thanks CAPTAINQUINN. I watched the video again, and it seemed that he picked it up and ran after the shooting had stopped. It almost looked like it was a deliberate procedure, as if it had been practices.
I wonder if he is suppose to have it in his posession at all times, or if the the prisident is incapacitated he must deliver it to the VP. He was definitely a man on a mission.
