Steve Jobs unveils the long awaited Apple iPhone 3G at WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference) 2008 in San Francisco. This version has 3G wireless speed in comparison to its predecessor's slower EDGE connection which is 2G. The new 3G iPhone comes in two versions; an 8 GB model with a black backing and a 16 GB model with a white backing. The 3G Apple iPhone is set to release July 11, 2008.

Yeah, of course because I was saying that there have been loads of phones with more features than the iphone. i used to live in the UK and in 2004 had a Motorola A1000 (great symbian based touchscreen phone). i have lived in Tokyo for 3 years, no need to mention the capabilities of the phones here.

this has nothing to do with the local economy.. obviously. In America you buy the Iphone 3G attached with an AT
T contract.. in Belgium there is no monopoly allowed by gsm operators on phones, so as it is selled loose, unattached to any operator, it costs more.. Ultimately, you pay quite a lot after 2 years of having an Iphone with AT
T formula.. you can find the comparison online
