Man, you don't know what you're talking about. Both bands have martyrs, if you can even call them that, as neither of them died for the band. As well, you can't really compare bands of different styles. Sure, they are both within the "rock" genre, but their methods and attitudes towards music are very different. How about we say that they are both amazing bands?

Grohl may be a better drummer than the RHCP's Chad Smith, but Frusciante fucking whails on the guitar! get some sense in you man. Kiedis vs cobain...Kiedis and its not even close, and Flea outshreds anyone in his own rights.

I am a musician, RHCP have much less energy in their performances and in their songs. RHCP are more melodic, but not at all better.

I love both bands alot, but I have been a Nirvana fan for longer then RHCP, but I dont think you can really compare the two, they are different genres of music so opinions will always vary.

Not a big fan of either, just saw this video on the 'recommended for you' bit... dont know why this video was there... but I prefer RHCP. Nirvana are boring and extremely over-rated in my opinion [dont give me yer back cheeck about that, because frankly i dont give a shit].

dude, nirvana's drummer dave grohl is insanely good. maybe not in nirvanna, but if you listen to him when he drummed with the Queens of the Stone Age you'll be blown away... listen to him on A Song for the Dead...his styles way diffrent from the Chad Smith from the Peppers so its tough to compare them
