Inflammatory Breast Cancer

Uploaded by: souljen
Video Description:
Breast cancer is something women think they know all about: Look for lumps; have mammograms; see our doctors.
But none of that will save you from one silent breast cancer killer that women know virtually nothing about. It's called "inflammatory breast cancer," and it's something every woman must know about.

I agree as well...
Is there more in statistics or are we speaking out more...mine has been found to
be more random rather than through the family blood...I did a testing. Medical science doesn't gaurantee that but to their knowledge that is the result. So...Enviromental?

My mother was diagnosed two days ago. They are waiting a week to do the PET scan and it's driving me crazy. She has been showing symptoms for over a month now and the doctors kept putting her on antibiotics or saying it was "probably post traumatic stress" (she went through chemo and radiation for a different type of breast cancer earlier this year). i am worried for my mom. it's good to read so many other people's stories, even though many of them end in death. thank you for posting this.
My mom died june 18 ... ( 9 months ago by myu2bZ)
My mom died june 18 2001 after being diagnosed with stage 4 IBC. She was 58. IBC victims are much more likely to die than "lump" type breast cancers. What I would recommend to anyone diagnosed with an "infection or mastitis" is to get a second opinion -quickly. It is beatable if caught early and attacked aggressively. Do not allow substandard treatment. This is life or death for you and your family, do not be afraid of hurting feelings.

This is a very serious, mostly misdiagnosed disease. My beautiful sister in law is in the last stages of the disease, and was diagnosed less than a year ago. Fight, kick and scream. Make sure someone listens to you if you are having these symptoms!

My mother doesn't have IBC but she has breast cancer and it has spread to many places in her body. She'll be on chemo the rest of her life, its tough. I wish you, your Mothers, and your families the best and I will keep you all in my prayers. Be positive, and enjoy your time together. Be sure to say I Love You everyday, even if thats the only thing you call to say.

it is extremely important for every woman to know about IBC. being the rarest form of breast cancer, it is often neglected as a diagnosis.Recently i have done preliminary research into why IBC is caused (wether it is genetic, environmental, etc.) and it really opened up my eyes to the problems which women face. Thanks for posting. It really does make a difference.

sufisi- Ignorance ... ( 2 hours ago by chiefof)
sufisi- Ignorance and lack of information, such as are evident in your post, can cause the death of those who read it. Some breast cancer can be survived if caught early and properly treated. Other cancers, too. Just "keeping a positive attitude" and other mind power crap without proper medical treatment will generally result in death from an otherwise survivable cancer. Do what you want in your own life, just shut the fuck up about it.
