Kruger National Park, Shingwedzi, December 2006. A lioness caught a buffalo and struggled for 6 hours to kill it. While it happened, an elephant came, chased the lioness away and showed compassion towards the buffalo. The lioness ate the buffalo alive.

Honestly I've seen a bit more of this footage. The description should've read sonemthing like "A thirsty lioness came across a seriously injured buffalo and struggled for 6 hours to kill it". It would help those who think the lion is sooooo powerful. BTW, one on one and healthy, the lion is no match

Because the lion population has been so decimated in Africa, it makes you wonder where the rest of the pride is. A pride would have ended the buffalo's suffering far more quickly.

The biggest mistake that buffalo made was turning his back on that lioness. I have seen it myself even at home with my cats, the second one turns his/ her back on the other they use it to their advantage and attack them (whether maliciously or playfighting). I can't watch this, I know it's nature and everything but I can't stand to see an animal in pain crying out in agony. It upsets me too much.
