--Where did I write the opposite to that? I wrote the Liberal media is biased, and unapologetically and openly rooting for Obama and trying to get him elected. If the Liberal MSM were any more powerful than they already are, George W. Bush woulnd't have been elected President, twice.

Nice facts. It's odd that a liberal is trying so desperately to debunk the liberal media "myth". Almost every person you named is a Neoconservative, very different from a true conservative. Neocons are leftists who decided to sway the Right and unfortunately won during Nixon's era. Oddly enough the "Far Right" that you accuse of tyranny is a Minarchist (not a typo) ideology. By definition, impossible to be tyrannical. Apparently you need a lesson in political philosophy. The media is liberal.

What's funny about Al Franken's book is how after he claims to have debunked the "Liberal Media" concept he unwittingly details how the Liberal Media works in the Paperback pages 73-74. If a news organization is using a left-wing comedian known for smearing people as a news source and they are printing a story about a guy that he politically disagrees with mixing up a polk and a peabody as "news" then it is proof of the liberal media. So, yes, sir. I will laugh out loud....

Nice try, but I just read those pages from my copy, and it's clear that you are wrong. Those news sources are known to bash competitors, just like every other business in the capitalist system tries to make their competitors look unworthy. As for "known for smearing people," telling the truth about people hardly counts as "smearing", despite what Billo always tells you.

No, it's paperback, the extended edition. The news sources constantly need stories, and someone taking on their competitor sounds interesting. Plus, O'Reilly didn't just confuse the awards, he tried to cover up his mistake and overeacted, so this guy is mischaracterizing the situation.

Arrogantly saying, "nuh-uh" is hardly a valid argument. Additionally, it is well documented in books like "Culture Warrior" and "Do as I say (Not as I do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy" That Franken does indeed say and do dishonest things that cause mixing up 2 awards to pale in comparison. Yet the media did not think so when it reported the minor instead of major. I do not believe everything that O'Reilly says and for the same good reason, I can say the same for Franken.

Murdock came out for Hillary. Hardly a "staunch" republican. But remember the claim is the media has a "liberal" bias. You are quoting some of the most liberal repubs available. You need to understand the difference between liberal and conservative. That's the claim. You seem to equate CEO's with the political view of the stations. Hardly a direct relationship. Speak to the actual reporting and then you might have a case.

while he provided decent examples for someone talking about bias it would have paid for him to look into the other side. Bernard Goldberg was actually fired from CBS for trying to bring about a discussion of liberal bias in the mass media. He wrote a book about it called BIAS - A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News. There are plenty of examples of liberal bias provided in it, and even though it was written a few years ago the bias prevails today, it elected Obama.
