| A better song writer...of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree with you on that one. I find John's lyrics to be more poignant, intriguing, intelligent and conversational. And he's got a wider musicality which I think often helps a lyric with it's message. Granted, Ray's got a very nice voice. But to my taste (and also supported by amount of fans/awards etc.), John is the man. |

| You're right, Ray isn't sitting in a studio with highly paid studio musicians keeping time with him, he didn't go to music college, and he probably only knows the chords he figured out by himself. That's the point though. If you want commercalized music, go listen to John. Ray is truly singing from just his heart and soul, and there's absolutely no bs. John Mayer's a great guitarist and songwriter, but I don't think he could write and perform something like this. |
