And that artist had such an amazing idea.
He faked satarving a dog and watch the media go INSANE! And the point of it all was that everyone freaks out over one dog while thousands of childeren die every night from starvation. He's brilliant!

The commenters here apparently have a powerful need to be indignant about something-anything, even this bit of hearsay. Read the Wikipedia entry. A world anticruelty organization investigated the allegations and found no proof that the dog was in any way mistreated, or had died as the result of neglect.

what's important now to those that care about this,is to find out status of show 2008. I'm sure that part of their campaign was disinformation and creation of multiple stories inorder
to dissipate backlash.
If credible they would've quickly dispersed rumours with an explanation of the concept in formal statement. The fact that they didn't suggests that they're deliberately perpetrating or at least allowing
misinformation. If new venue ignores petition then what?serious updates needed

If i ever see Guillermo Vargas in person i will beat the crap out of him, tie him to a pole and starve him to death. Then I'll see how he likes it. I also am just as mad at the people who sat there, saw the dog dying, and did nothing about it than I am at that murderer, he should go to jail for animal cruelty.

CORRECTION: If you want to accuse someone of a crime/atrocity/lapse of taste, the BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON THE ACCUSER, NOT THE ACCUSED. ... But does it matter what I say? Vargas was just making a point. Everyone who hates him for it just cant open their own eyes. How many times have you walked by a stray dog or cat and paid no attention or even went out of your way to avoid it? Even better example; how many homeless people or mortally sick people have you ever helped? The funny thing about art people, is that sometimes you actually have to think about it.
