| I have Gaynor Minden pointe shoes and they really are perfect and made to fit me. They're based in America though, so you can just go on their website and send in your details on your foot and they choose the shoe to fit you, and they certainly pick well! I've worn GM pointe shoes since I was twelve and I'm now fourteen, only needed a new pair just at the beginning of this year, they certainly last well too :)xx |

| I have a flat foot lol. But Ballet helps it a lot, actually. And if you're legs are strong, it shouldn't take too long. Just make sure you pay attention in the class because the faster you learn the sooner you'll go up en pointe. |

| its actually mostly dependent on your strength not how well you can dance. And a big part is your age because your foot muscle or bone stuff isn't fully developed until a certain age which is around twelve. if you start too soon before that you can easily permanently damage your feet and you wont be able to dance again or well. so obviously if you try a pair of pointe shoes on and they dont hurt when you walk around, even tho ur feet and legs are shaking, it doesnt mean your ready for pointe :) |

| i wear them too! once i felt strong enough in extraflex, i switched to supple. now i'm back to extraflex because i broke a big toe over three months ago; that wasn't caused from dancing. i'm only doing releves so i don't reinjure it, but it feels wonderful! :D |

| I have a question about turning I have been dancing now for 13years and STILL can't get the head right my teacher uses the leave and whip way to try and teach us but it just makes my head hurt REALLY bad and I know I'm not going to get anywhere if I can't turn properly so what I was wondering is if theres a way of turning without making my head hurt!! Or making me dizzy or is it just me?? |

| See, our dance teacher has us simply crisscross the ribbons once in front and once in back, then tie a knot on the inside of the foot. The extra ribbon is cut off and the edges burned (which keeps it from fraying). My shoes are Capezio Glisse, and they are wonderful. The rest of my class uses Bloch (I went to a diffent retail) and their arch isn't nearly as good. I think I got lucky there. :) |

| I have grishko 2007's and they work great with my feet!! I read in pointe magazine that people with grishkos usually look quite good in russian pointes you might want to try that out :) |

| Use calimine lotion (its what you use if you have poison ivy or something like that) it in a pink bottle and just rub it over the shoe not the shank and give it a couple of hours to dry. Or some of my friends use face powder |
