I sincerely hope that Burma's situation will persistently stay on the media, and in people's minds, and not get buried and forgotten as the brutal regime is silencing the crowds by violence and terror. The sanctions on Burma will not be effective until countries like China and India put their foot down.

The last comment about the current crop of generals not changing rings true. They moved the capital to a secret location, they seem totally paranoid and willing to hold out for the long haul. I hope the commentator is also right about others in the power hierarchy thinking different, so the regime will crumble soon in the face of massive popular discontent.
