Oh this is so interesting!! I was always curious about clicks in african languages and how they could be spelled and translated. UQHOQHOQHOQHO... Adams apple!

And I thought that some of the phonmes of Arabic were hard to get my vocal apparatus around. I always loved Ms Makeba's works, but could not figure out how to pronounce some of the words.
It isn't a great deal easier now, even knowing which part of the respiratory system they come out of. That does not diminish my appreciation of her music a bit.

Some clicks I can pronounce. It's not that hard if you really want to. Not saying it's easy though. Pronouncing a 'click' is one thing, pronouncing Xhosan words is different.

This is just one of the many languages of south africa a guy like myself has experienced 7 of them so far and i can officially tell you that being a south african ( White and not a racist ) Their language is a native tribal tongue language that has been around for centuries.
