Who is gene? He is the fucking guy who sang and wrote most of the music and who created KISS with Paul Stanley. Ace is just a guitar playing party fool like a million other "rock stars". Ace was easily replaced, Gene not.

It's got nothing to do with being centre of attention. You kids are so simplistic. The world was a much more uptight place back then. Talking about drugs could have you banned from TV. The istols were banned from their entire CITY! Gene and Paul just didn't want the world to think of them as a bunch of cackling drunk idiots. That's exactly how Ace was behaving. They had an uphill struggle already because of the way they looked, so it made it hard for them to look like a credible band at all.
