I saw them in the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta, Ga. when they were promoting the album "Duty Now For The Future." I took my girlfriend to the concert who hated Devo. She thought I was taking her to the Blondie concert that was across the street at the Fox theatre. I saw them a few years later at the Fox when they were in the "Whip It" days. Two of the best concerts I ever saw. Hell they were better than the Stones. Mick sounded like Krusty the clown.

This is one of the best moments in recorded music. They used to play this on USA network's "Night Flight" back in the 80's. That was an amazing program. I taped this Devo performance off the TV and used to play it outside at recess... Wow, those were the high fidelity days... Still sounded better than compressed digital audio though!!! Saw devo in spain a couple of weeks ago... they really still are a great band.

No matter how many times I spend the evening with Mark and Bobs 1 and 2, it always ends with Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA because there is nowhere else to go. This song is DEVO sex. All you can do afterwards is silently light a digarette, be still, and know that thou art DEVO.
