If you already disagree with his point of view, are not open to other people's point of view in addition to having an irrational hate towards some news guy you decide to watch instead of shutting off your television or changing the channel - I guess you are right. However a lot of the "O'Reilly PWNED LOL" videos out there are really questionable in regards to their pwnage. I guess it is very subjective.

that's true most of the ownage videos i've seen are just debates he has lost, not been rammed into the ground on
i'm talking more about times when he demonstrates an absolute disregard for other people's opinions, throws his toys out of the pram, shouts people down when he disagrees with them

A lot of the pwnage videos are not even of debates he has lost, it is just that the uploader feels that he has lost them. And people who watch them tend to agree with the uploader, because they share the same viewpoint. However, it is true that he looses his cool at times. And yeah, I feel his is entertaining. I also feel he has a lot of valid points, though. However, the question is whether he is a news guy with a temper or a news guy who pretend to lose his temper in order to entertain.

he's a political commentator which means that no matter what he says, no matter how radical, rational, reasonable or insane someone will wholeheartedly agree with it and others will want him crucified for it
he's succesful because he has this great persona, whether it's real or not, and whether you hate him or not, you're probably going to watch him, that's his job, to be loved and loathed and he's very very good at it i hate him

Well, that's something we can agree on. It is really subjective how you look at the debates. Personally I like him and agree with a lot of his points. Not all, but a lot of what he is saying. And I think it is also fair to say it is not an act, he seems to be a little bit angry. But then again, being in his position, he probably has a lot to be angry about. Seems a lot of people are constantly doing their best in order to discredit him. But, he is good at what he does. Why else hate him so much?
