Video Description:
The film is based on the eponymous book by Emmanuil Kazakevich. In the summer of 1944 the Nazi Armies prepare a massive Tank Division named 'Viking" for the offensive on occupied Russian land. The Russian Army's special group of seven snipers named "Zvezda" is sent for a reconnaissance operation behind the enemy lines in the back of the Nazi Tank Division. Two previous Russian groups never came back. The seven Russians know that they are going to Death for the sake of Victory. They penetrate inside the Nazi's positions, and send a radio report about the enemy's location. At the end of their mission they are surrounded and give a brutal last fight.

Vumpsh, thank you for your kind words. My grandfather was in the 3rd Ukranian Front. I agree NKVD was horrible & most Soviet Soldiers did not know who they are at and during that the war, they all just wanted an end to it. Ordinary idiots like testomatic12345 would have joined the hitler youth during that era, other good intelligent Germans such as Colonel Hans Oster (the september plot-great book) or Claus Von Stauffenberg tried to assasinate him as did others.
